The Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe (CMNE) Foundation renews its five-year commitment to EDHEC BUSINESS SCHOOL

Lille, 18 May 2015 - The CMNE Foundation renewed its commitment to donate €200,0000 a year in order to fund a programme of scholarships at EDHEC Business School. The funding enables some 50 young people from modest-income families across the region to benefit from the programmes of excellence offered by EDHEC. The agreement reiterates the two partners’ commitment to broadening access to higher education to young persons from all backgrounds.

Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School, and Philippe Vasseur, Chairman of the CMNE and the CMNE Corporate Foundation, signed the agreement on 18 May in the presence of Eric Charpentier, Chief Executive Officer of CMNE, and Caroline Sonrier, Director of the Opéra de Lille and also a partner in the CMNE Foundation.

“The CMNE Foundation and EDHEC have been partners since 2010 and our collaboration provided 60 CNME scholarships for Edhec students this year. Ensuring access to higher education for students from all segments of society is important both for our School and the Nord Pas-de-Calais region as a whole,” said Olivier Oger.

Philippe Vasseur emphasised the “importance of fostering excellence and making access to it available to all”.
