EDHEC Business School kicks off the 2013-2014 academic year!

-  René Garcia is named Academic Programme Director of the Grand Ecole and the MSc programmes. In his new role, Mr. Garcia will work to ensure academic excellence and teaching innovation across all Grand Ecole and MSc programmes.
- Michelle Botha is named Director of ESPEME. Her priority will be to develop EDHEC’s bachelor programme, to add international dimensions, and to make it one of the best undergraduate business programmes in the industry.

In its quest for excellence in higher education, EDHEC is proud to announce the addition of new academic programmes in its Grand Ecole, as well as the addition of several high-profile international academic partnerships that will benefit seasoned executives who participate in EDHEC’s continuing-education programmes.

New Business and Law Programme: EDHEC’s newest degree programme is unique in France and allows students to combine studies in law and management. 

Double Diploma EDHEC and Centrale Lille: Students now have the opportunity to acquire a double degree in management and engineering as part of a new partnership between EDHEC and Centrale Lille, one of France’s premier engineering schools.

The addition of Journalism courses for the Grand Ecole: EDHEC has teamed up with ESJ Lille to provide students with courses in journalism. These new course offerings will help students to better understand international relations between France, other
European countries, and developing nations around the world.

A new partnership with Yale School of Management: Students in EDHEC’s executive courses will benefit from courses in risk management at one of North America’s top-ranked business schools.

The launch of a new certificate programme dedicated to family businesses : "Managing a Family Business" : Three classes on strategy, corporate governance and finance will be offered to the managers, future managers and family members involved in steering businesses with family ties.

A new EMBA module, “Doing Business in Europe” This Class will help students to better understand the business culture in northern Europe, including an explication of the government institutions that impact businesses and business practices in this part of the world. Students will study different ways of doing business according to different geographic and cultural perspectives. 

Arnaud Chéron, PhD, Associate Research Director at EDHEC, has been named Director of the Economic Research Pole. His most recent work has focused on the impact of social aid on the unemployment rate of French
citizens 50 years and older.

EBEN Conférence : The annual conference of the European Business Ethics Network ( EBEN). The purpose of this conference is to promote sound ethics in the business and to provide a forum in which academics, ethics experts and business practitioners can exchange ideas to improve ethics in the global market place. This year, the conference was held September 12- 14 on the Lille campus of the Edhec Business School. The Theme was, "License to operate"

EDHEC Risk Institute will host its annual conference, EDHEC Risk Days, the 8 and 9 of October at the Crown Plaza Hotel in New York City. The conference will bring together some of the world’s most important and influential investors and
management professionals to debate various topics. The theme of this year’s conference is “North American Investments.”
