EDHEC Business School in New Delhi

On 1st July 2015, EDHEC Business School in association with the French Embassy of India hosted its 1st Pre-departure session for 30+ Indian students at the French Residence in New Delhi. These students will be traveling to France in August 2015 to study at EDHEC – one of France’s top business schools.

This special event was hosted by Mr. François Vandeville, Director of the Institut Français in India, along with Ms. Sonia Gastaud, Deputy Head of International Admissions at EDHEC Business School & Nilesh Gaikwad, International Admissions Representative in India.

This send-off ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of the Indian students who will be joining a Master programme at EDHEC in the fall and also saluted this year’s scholars:

- Eiffel Scholarship winners – Rohan PATIL & Shoumi MITTRA
- Charpak Scholarship awardees: Pratyush DAS, Tanya GUPTA & Aditi SWARUP

CampusFrance representatives, future students, current students & alumni attended the session; in total an audience of 60+ members of the quickly growing EDHEC India family attended the session!

The ceremony began with an immensely motivating speech from Mr. Vandeville. Vandeville congratulated and encouraged students to explore the full potential of a life-changing opportunity to study in France. Ms. Gastaud, who had flown-in from Nice, France in order to congratulate the students in-person, emphasized on upholding the EDHEC tradition of churning out globally competent Managers. Special momentos were presented to each student by Mr.Vandeville which made the event a very memorable day!

Sonia Gastaud, Deputy Head of International Admissions at EDHEC comments: ‘It was a real privilege being invited by the French embassy in India to host our very first pre-departure session at the French residence – a very moving session too. This invitation comes as a recognition for the hard work done the past two years in India and I am sure that our presence locally will grow even stronger in the coming years. ’ Nilesh Gaikwad, International Admissions representative based in Mumbai adds: ‘Having graduated myself from the MSc in Strategy & Organisation Consultancy programme at EDHEC and now working towards enhancing our brand locally, not only did I feel pride in welcoming our new talent at the French residence, but I have no doubt our future Indian students will grow to become solid business leaders thanks to their academic journey at EDHEC.”
