Previously, Mr. Langstaff was Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer and Director of Veridian Corporation until its sale to General Dynamics in August 2003; its IPO was recognized by the Financial Times as one of the ten best global IPOs in 2002.

Originally from Colorado, David Langsdaff is a Harvard graduate. He has managed several businesses in the United States and is now a leading member of the global Aspen Institute network; he is a senior moderator of values-based leadership seminars for the Aspen Institute and chairs its Business and Society Program Advisory Board.
David spoke to the new cohort at the EDHEC Executive MBA in Paris for 4 days on the topic of ‘Enlightened and Effective Leadership’. Adopting the ASPEN method based on the Socratic principle of group dialogue and discussion, David Langsdaff helped all those present to reflect on and further their own leadership style. All of the participants were unanimous about the seminar’s success. Using various supports, including texts from ancient and modern literature, videos and concrete case studies, he explored the issue of effective leadership from a new angle, quite different from traditional courses, but also concrete and directly applicable to today’s business environment.
