The latest EDHEC Expertises meeting focused on Managing cash flow during a period of crisis, a sensitive theme at the current time. Daniel Haguet, Professor of Finance at EDHEC, introduced the subject with a rundown of the state of businesses' cash flow since 2008 and demonstrated the impact of the crisis on businesses' cash management. Xavier Duchaine then related his approach as CFO of Charabot, notably by explaining his methods of improving cash flow, while Pierre Beyrand of the Ordre des Experts Comptables, spoke about the experience of the region's business leaders in the cash management area. In response to the questions raised by these testimonies, Bertrand Perez, Regional Director of LCL and Olivier Bardet of HSBC, presented the banker's approach to the issue and underlined the importance of maintaining dialogue and communication with the business owner.
The quality of the participants and the enthusiastic debate with the public ensured this fifth meeting in the EDHEC Expertises series was a real success. The events underscore EDHEC Business School's desire to contribute proactively to economic life in the Nice area. The next meeting is eagerly awaited for the spring.
