The 400 entrepreneurs at the YES Summit, today officially called upon the G20 Leaders to place entrepreneurship at the forefront of economic renewal.
Through their Chair, Grégoire Sentilhes, the leaders of the G20 YES country delegations restated the critical importance of entrepreneurship for driving innovation, growth and employment (especially as a means for helping young people, both in developing and mature countries, to fulfill their potential/to contribute more fully to society/to become economically active/etc)
The G20 YES has identified more than 200 best practices successfully implemented by governments, associations and by the private sector to remove the obstacles faced by entrepreneurs and strengthen the three pillars which are critical for boosting entrepreneurship: fertile ecosystems, specific financing vehicles for each stage of development plus an entrepreneurial and risk-taking culture.
The G20 YES proposes that the G20 leaders in their final statement recognize the importance of supporting entrepreneurship as a vital solution for solving the current economic crisis.
The G20 YES also proposes that the G20 leaders to engage in a collaborative process with their governments to develop the Entrepreneurs' Declaration while implementing a pragmatic action plan to boost entrepreneurship within and across all the G20 countries.
