EDHEC-Risk Days 2013: Relevance to Business Worldwide

EDHEC-Risk Days

For 10 years, EDHEC Business School has implemented a research strategy that highlights the need for relevance. This strategy is based on a number of objectives. The research conducted by our professors and researchers must not only adhere to international criteria of academic excellence, but also contribute to the quality of our programmes and be relevant to the industry and, consequently, to the economy in general. It is within this framework that the EDHEC Research Days aim to show how business and society are at the heart of our research concerns.

In 2004, EDHEC-Risk Institute introduced a new type of conference aiming to bring research insights to investment professionals. These events present the research undertaken by EDHEC-Risk Institute and discuss their implications and applications with the institutional investment and wealth management communities. The conferences enable participants to have access to the latest conceptual advances and research results in investment and risk management and to discuss their implications and applications with researchers who combine expertise of advanced financial techniques with a sound awareness of their industry relevance.

Today, the EDHEC-Risk Days are organised in Asia, Europe and in North America with the same objective: the dissemination of the EDHEC-Risk Research.

EDHEC-Risk Days Asia
In 2012, the Institute exported its conference concept to Asia in order to provide Asia-based finance professionals with easier access to state-of-the-art research in investment and risk management and to establish a dialogue around research results with particular relevance to investors and institutions in Asia. The next EDHEC-Risk Days Asia will take place on May 15-16, 2013 in Singapore. Find out more here.

EDHEC-Risk Days North America
With the internationalisation of its activities, EDHEC-Risk is launching a North American-focused investment conference for institutional investors, traditional and alternative investment managers and policy-makers. The event will take place in New York on October 8-9, 2013. Find out more here.

EDHEC-Risk Days Europe
Following the success of EDHEC-Risk Days Europe 2012 which attracted over 800 high ranking industry professionals, including institutional investors, private bankers, family offices and institutional money managers, EDHEC-Risk Days Europe 2013 took place on 26 and 27 March, 2013 in London. The conference offered a programme of great added value put together around two main events: the Indexation and Passive Investment Conference and the Global Institutional Investment Conference.
