EDHEC Student Associations
Ninety-eight associations from business schools, engineering schools, and universities stood out in this survey in which students responded to more than one hundred questions. The ranking of the associations, an idea from the consultant Créalcom, was designed by Aneo, another consultant, in partnership with Le Point Étudiant.
The associations were judged on five criteria: organisation, consistency, reputation, performance, and complexity. All of the associations ranked met requirements demonstrating their quality and their seriousness.
EDHEC Sailing Cup
Created in 1969 by three students passionate about sailing, the EDHEC Sailing Cup is now the largest student sporting event in Europe, with more than 3,000 students (from 140 universities and schools around the world) and 10,000 visitors a year taking part. The EDHEC Sailing Cup is forty-five years of history rewritten every year by some fifty EDHEC students. This unique event has diversified over time, with three trophies now up for grabs:
• The Sea Trophy, which plays host to more 180 boats a year, is a high point of the sailing year.
• The Land Trophy, which brings together 150 teams for a multi-sport competition.
• The Sand Trophy, in which fifty-six teams faced off this year in such beach sports as beach soccer and sandball.
Le Chti, made up entirely of students, is now thirty-eight years old. For fifteen years, Le Chti has been the foremost guide to the Lille metropolitan area and its cultural, recreational, and gastronomic offerings, in addition to being full of practical information about the area.
Comprehensive and free, Le Chti is published every year. It is financed entirely by advertising. The advertising-editorial separation has always made it possible for it to remain independent and objective.
