EDHEC students compete in L'Oréal Brandstorm competition

EDHEC MSc in Marketing Management students Rachel Elkaim, Laure Szakolczai and Sébastien Simeoni-Mercier traveled to Paris last week to participate in the French finals of the L’Oréal Brandstorm 2014 competition.

The team of three beat out other EDHEC marketing teams to represent the school in Paris. The focus of the annual competition this year was a marketing campaign for a line of men’s skin care products for Kiehl’s.

The EDHEC team’s marketing campaign used DC Comic’s hero The Flash to entice men to use face cleansers and creams to give their skin a more healthy look and feel. They presented their pitch in English before a panel of international judges convened by L’Oréal.

The students worked with professors Marie-Cécile Cervellon and Guergana Guintcheva to perfect their marketing strategy. Although they did not win the French final, the students said they appreciated the opportunity to work with marketing experts on an interesting project.
