Annual "World Tour" of student Recruitment Fairs
The members of EDHEC Business School's International Admissions team are preparing their suitcases as they kick-off the annual "World Tour" of student recruitment fairs and receptions, an event that will take them to all four corners of the globe to meet top candidates.
During the tour, which takes place from September to December, the admissions team meets hundreds of prospective students. They answer questions about degree programmes and help students complete their application packages. This year, the World Tour will take the EDHEC team to 24 countries and 56 student recruiting events.
These meetings are often the beginning of relationships that last for years, said Sonia Gastaud, EDHEC International Admissions Manager. "Our goal is to answer students’ questions, but also to talk with them about their background and their professional goals," she said. "We do our best to help them select the right programme that will fit their needs."
During their meetings with students, admissions team members also look for gifted students who fit the profile of one of France's most prestigious foreign-student financial aid awards - the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship. This government scholarship awards foreign students close to 1,200 Euros per month to cover living costs during their studies in France.
"EDHEC is proud to report that almost half of our international students receive a scholarship, whether it is through the EDHEC scholarship scheme, a governmental programme (such as Eiffel scholarship, VRIKA or Jean Monnet) or private initiatives" said Gastaud. "It’s always a proud moment for us and for the school when we can help talented students to reach their dreams."
