On 5, 6, and September, on the Lille and Nice campuses, the new school year began for the different tracks and classes of the grande école. Roundtables and master classes marked these three days. Hugo Kunetz (class of 1990), president North America for L’Oréal PPD, came to speak to second-year students in the Business Management track of his vision for the challenges managers are facing today and will face in the future. For Unilever, Nicolas Liabeuf, VP marketing France, led a master class for the MSc in Marketing students. For two hours, the students got an inside account of the issues and the daily routine of an executive at a company known for its marketing prowess.
Michaël Boumendil (class of 1994), president and chief creative officer of Sixième Son, spoke of his passion for challenges, of his view of music as language—above all for brands—during what was a genuine one-man show.
In Lille, Raphaël Compagnion, co-founder of Bankeez, Gautier Villiaume, trade marketing director at Procter & Gamble, Benoît Hennebelle (class of 2007), real estate director at Géophyle, and Stanislas Gruau (class of 2011), commodities trader at Cargill, and in Nice, Johanna Bardon (class of 2007), accountant at L’Oréal, David Abastado (class of 2010), auditor at PwC, and Julien Boulenger (class of 2010), strategy consultant at Olivier Wyman, came to speak about the beginnings of their careers and encourage discussion about networks.
Franck Vigo, interactive division director at Oxylane, Alexandre Menais, senior vice-president of Atos International, Stéphane Baller, partner with Ernst & Young Société d’Avocats, and Véronique Rossi, legal director of Redcats, were likewise among the senior executives who did us the honour of sharing their experience with our students.
