The First Annual EDHEC-Risk Days North America draws 600 professionals from 23 countries

Written on 16 October 2013.

On 8 and 9 October, 600 professionals from 23 countries met in New York where they participated in more than 20 different topical sessions. Participants also had the chance to discuss various topics with senior finance industry officials from North America, as well as with EDHEC-Risk Institute researchers based in Singapore, London and Nice.

The goal of the conference was to introduce some of the research done by Risk Institute researchers and EDHEC professors to a North American audience, and to provide participants with investment management information specific to their geographical location. The format of EDHEC-Risk conferences makes it possible to create an unrivalled platform for industry practitioners and scholars to exchange views on the current topics of greatest relevance to the asset management industry—an exchange of views in which the results of the research done at EDHEC-Risk and the needs and practices of investment professionals can be compared, to the advantage of all.
