Insight into the Job Market of 2011 Finance Graduates

Graduates Job Market

On this occasion, we look at the 2011 placement report that has just been released with a focus on Finance graduates. The report suggests that graduates have rapidly found placements despite the economic turmoil and confirms the increasingly internationalised job market. These key figures further demonstrate EDHEC's excellence in education by providing specialist degrees matching international business’ needs.

Overall, 62% of our graduates in the financial economics track have found a position before leaving school and 85% within four months. These figures that include international students show a well-balanced France versus abroad ratio with 48% having found a position in France and 52% abroad.

MSc in Finance

  • 60% are working abroad.
  •  Mainly in asset management, consulting, audit and market finance (sales, trading, research...).

MSc in Corporate Finance

  • 46% are working abroad: 65% in Europe, 14% Africa/Middle East, 10% Asia and 8% US.
  • Mainly in audit, private banking, PE, management control, corporate finance and asset management.

MSc in Financial Markets

  • 70% are working abroad: 80% in Europe, 9% in Africa/Middle East and 8% Asia.
  • Mainly in market finance (trading, research...), asset management, risk management.

MSc in Audit & Management Control

  • 70% are working abroad: 62% in Europe, 25% in Asia and 13% in Americas.
  • Mainly in audit, management control, private banking.
