Louis Vuitton’s CEO & EDHEC Alumnus Michael Burke receives Prize

Written on 21 June 2013.

Thanks to the commitment of local ambassadors, the five EDHEC campuses and twenty-five cities around the world took part in the annual EDHEC Rendez Vous, the reunion of EDHEC alumni that is streamed live over the internet. EDHEC graduates from the world over followed the event online and interacted with guests.

As part of the festivities, three annual alumni prizes were awarded:

• Socially Responsible Organisation of the Year
• EDHEC Entrepreneur
• EDHEC Alum of the Year.

Since 1983, the “EDHEC Alum of the Year” prize has been awarded to the graduate who through his or her personal or professional experience has made the greatest contribution to EDHEC’s growth and to its local, national or international renown.

The top prize then went to Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton, in a ceremony held in Paris and streamed live over the internet. “Michael embodies the success and the passion that we would like to convey to all of our graduates. They are the best advocates abroad of EDHEC’s success, of our management expertise and of the values of responsibility and innovation that have been the school’s hallmarks for more than one hundred years.” said Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School.

As a result of the contributions of alumni in attendance on the five campuses, the list of donors to the “EDHEC4All” scholarship programme has grown substantially. The energy and enthusiasm of this campaign has made possible the creation of an alumni community that is steadily growing in social and cultural diversity
