On October 1, the thirteen programme participants began their coursework on the London campus. The average age of the thirteen participants on the Executive Track is forty-two. They come from four continents and are of twelve different nationalities. They have an average of sixteen years of professional experience and are senior or managing executives. Without interrupting their careers, they commit to the programme to draw thoroughly on their expertise and to work with specialists in research topics of interest to their employers.
Given a warm welcome by René Garcia, Academic Director of the PhD in Finance, they attended a Financial Economics course with Abraham Lioui and a Corporate Finance course with Pierre Mella-Barral.
The graduating members of the inaugural PhD in Finance class also received their diplomas in this first week of the new academic year.
