Séan joined Nintendo of Europe as European Marketing Intern during his gap year. This EDHEC 2012 alumnus is now a Junior Product Manager in the European Marketing team at the European headquarters in Frankfurt.
Before discussing Nintendo, Séan introduced himself and encouraged students to ask questions to an EDHEC alumnus. He gave students tips for job hunting including the importance of internships and networking.
He started by presenting the video game industry and its main players. He then focused on Nintendo, which was founded in 1889 making playing cards! He presented the Blue Ocean Strategy executed by Nintendo, which he defined as a turning point in the company’s history. Finally, he gave some key facts and figures before going into details on his extensive role and missions as a Junior Product Manager.
His lecture was very interactive with students asking questions at any time. He also had with him a Wii U and LEGO City Undercover for students to play and test.
