Michael Burke

Michael Burke is also a Member of the Executive Committee of LVMH Group and the Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton as of December 2012. 

Michael Burke, a dual French-U.S. citizen, joined the LVMH Group in 1986. He first started working with Bernard Arnault in 1980 and was the President and CEO of Christian Dior USA from 1986 to 1993, when he took charge of Louis Vuitton North America.

In 1997, Michael Burke moved to Paris to become the Director Général and Chief Operating Officer of Christian Dior SA. Following the acquisition of Fendi by LVMH in 2003, he was appointed CEO, transforming the brand into the success that it is today. He previously held the position of CEO at Bulgari.
