Portrait of Philippe Léopold-Metzger (EDHEC 1977)

Written on 14 February 2013.

Philippe Léopold-Metzger

Joining Piaget in 1992, this enthusiast has made Piaget one of the world’s top watchmakers. Located in Geneva, Philippe Léopold-Metzger was one of the first chief executives to bet on the Asian market, especially China.

Since he has been at the head of Piaget, this combative leader has fostered the creativity of its products and done the utmost to strike a balance between jewellery making and watch-making. The results? Piaget’s turnover, with its double-digit annual growth, has increased tenfold in ten years. Results in 2011 were especially extraordinary.

He was named EDHEC Alumni of the Year 2012.
