The semi-final of the fourth edition of the EDHEC Open Innovation seminar brought together 770 students, 75 managers representing 21 companies, and some 20 professors on the Lille campus on 10 and 11 March. The convivial event provided the opportunity to develop creative product-innovation and employer-branding concepts.
The winners of the semi-final were:
- Leroy-Merlin (n°1), Dassault Systèmes, and ETAM, and the winner of the Public’s Prize: Carrefour
- Ubisoft (n°1), Crédit Agricole, and DBApparel (Dim), and the winner of the Public’s Prize: L’Oréal
We look forward to seeing the six semi-finalists at the grand final on 14 April 2015.
This annual event enables EDHEC students to work side-by-side with managers, to test their innovation management skills, and to forge links with a view to potential internships or jobs. EDHEC Open Innovation is a big hit with students, as it gives them the chance to immerse themselves in innovation, a core subject for businesses, to discover practical innovation mechanisms, and to share the latest trends and techniques in marketing, client relations and product design with professionals.
"Open Innovation is a very interesting challenge that allows us to test the concepts learned in class and to work hand-in-hand with company representatives," said Georges Rousselot, Edhec student and member of the "Bonduelle" team.
