Société Générale, one of the biggest recruiters of EDHEC students and graduates, is renewing its partnership with EDHEC Business School as a Corporate Programme Sponsor of EDHEC’s MSc in Corporate Finance & Banking.

This partnership extends beyond the boundaries of traditional company/school relationships and affords Société Générale unique visibility at the heart of the MSc in Corporate Finance & Banking. Société Générale disseminates its expertise through the co-production of programme content while enjoying direct contact with students through unique teaching and discussion sessions.

Since 2011, Société Générale has been accompanying students on the programme and transmitting its know-how, notably in the fields of structured products and hedge funds through case studies devised especially for the programme. The partnership gives students the benefit of numerous recruitment and networking events, plus presentations of particular banking professions, such as General Inspection.

“EDHEC students match the profiles sought by Société Générale, particularly for their excellent technical skills, strong analytical capabilities and good decision-making abilities”, explains Pierre Palmieri, Head of Global Finance – Corporate Investment Banking at Société Générale. “All in all, close to 400 EDHEC graduates work for Société Générale in different areas of the bank’s businesses, like SGCIB. Last year, we hired close to 100 new staff from EDHEC (on fixed and permanent contracts, internships, the French VIE international internship scheme and apprenticeships), a figure that underlines the benefits of this high-quality partnership”.
