Finance Career Days I&II

A career in finance will bring students face to face with one of the most competitive selection processes in the business world. Over two days, students enrolled in both MIM and MSc programmes in Nice were offered a comprehensive career programme aiming to help them find their ideal job.

Through a combination of presentations, workshops and discussions, students gained insight into careers in finance, an understanding of recruitment processes, and the opportunity to meet with EDHEC alumni.

The first day was dedicated to careers sessions. Students were first introduced to the EDHEC Career Centre and its services before being familiarised with careers in finance and application processes and documents.

The second day focused on workshops and alumni. In the morning, four parallel workshops initiated students into the recruitment process and the importance of networking. The workshops included competency-based interviews, case presentations and group exercises, online testing, and alumni and networking. An optional workshop was offered for students interested in careers in consulting.

In the afternoon, students attended the Alumni Spotlights, where they got first-hand advice from EDHEC alumni about what they do, how they got there, and what the trends are like in different finance areas.

The intensive two days was good preparation for what’s next: the Finance Careers Days III, where students will meet companies on campus on September 28.
