The 12 participants in the executive track have an average age of 39, originate from four continents and represent 12 nationalities. They possess an average 13 years of professional experience and hold senior executive posts or directorships. The programme enables them to review and deepen their expertise without having to interrupt their career and to work with specialists on research topics of close relevance to their company.
The two doctorate students on the residential track are aged 26 on average and come from India and Russia, respectively. While following the doctorate programme, the students will work as research assistants for the EDHEC-Risk Institute three days a week.
After being welcomed by René Garcia, Academic Head for the PhD in Finance, the students attended courses in Financial Economics with Abraham Lioui and Corporate Finance with Pierre Mella-Barral.
Participants in the February 2012 class will begin their course with EDHEC-Risk Institute-Asia in Singapore in the third week of February.
